Artist's Statement

I explore my own feelings and express them with varying degrees of shadow and light.

​

In creating an aesthetic that produces a sense of inner peace and freedom in the viewer, I hope to provide an atmosphere of serenity which causes a reflection on the positive forces of life.

I love the power of the sundown and sunrise, the hazy, obscure, magical moment that expresses a feeling of love, nostalgia and shared secrets. They also express the promise of a day ahead of us and the arrival of a time to slow down and enjoy the accomplishment of the ending journey.

In Canadian landscapes, I look for sceneries that could bring to me feelings from my childhood creating a link between my past roots and the present. I feel the need to recreate the union of both cultures living within me.
